"Incredible - our most favorite, relaxing vacation yet. The sound of the crashing waves, the fresh ocean breeze, the attention to detail in our room and the Inn as a whole, the food, the staff, and last but not least, the gracious and wonderful company of our hosts, Bob and Risa, made for an unforgettable adventure. We look forward to returning (with tennis rackets!)"

Placencia and Robert’s Grove are perfectly situated within Belize to provide a vast array of adventures, tours and attractions. Every day there can be a new adventure to a different point of the compass — looking for jaguar tracks in a lush tropical rainforest, diving the Barrier Reef or exploring Mayan ruins. The options for adventure are endless and since Robert’s Grove operates all of its own reef and rainforest tours and excursions, we are uniquely qualified to help you plan the perfect adventure vacation.
Dive in, to the wonders of the magnificent Barrier Reef of Belize. The Dive Center at Robert's Grove stands ready to guide you through this remarkable underwater paradise with multitudes of Gorgonian fan corals, enormous sponges, hundreds of colorful fish and sheer coral-encrusted walls. Bring your own scuba gear or let our expert dive staff outfit you in our broad array of scuba gear. Nitrox diving is also available.
The Inn at Robert's Grove has six dive & snorkeling boats and a resident staff of snorkeling guides. We'll whisk you away to Belize's Barrier Reef (the second largest in the world) and the many beautiful cayes nearby, such as Laughingbird Caye National Park, for a great day of snorkeling.
It's easy to get hooked on fishing in the pristine waters around Placencia, Belize where year-round it's possible to catch eight to ten different species in a day. There's bonefishing in the flats, trolling along the outer cayes and fly fishing and spin casting anywhere along the coast.
To the south of Placencia lies Monkey River, a birdwatcher's paradise up a tropical river. Much of Monkey River has been declared a Special Conservation Area, with howler monkeys and toucans in the tropical rainforest canopy, and manatee at the mouth of the river. We'll take you up the Monkey River by boat.
For the real adventurous, to the north lies the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary or Jaguar Reserve, the world's first protected area set aside to preserve the greatest cat in the new world - the jaguar. While you will be lucky to spot a jaguar, you will experience his habitat of a tropical rainforest.
Visit the Maya Ruin site of Lubaantun and then hike to the caves of Blue Creek, where you will go cave swimming.
The Mayan Ruins of Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit lie to the south in the beautiful Toledo District you'll travel by road from Robert's Grove to visit them. Lubaantun is the largest Mayan site in Toledo sitting high on a ridge in the tropical rainforest above a valley cut by the Columbia River.
A three and a half hour guided tour in kayaks down the tropical South Stann Creek River where you will observe pristine tropical rainforest and wildlife.
Experience Belize's magnificent tropical rainforest on horseback. Robert's Grove offers the only Horseback Riding tour available in southern Belize at Little Bill Hill Ranch. Located in San Roman Village (a 25 minute trip from Robert's Grove), Little Bill Hill is an 1800 acre Ranch with 10 miles of riding trails through untouched tropical rainforest and open fields.
Manatee watching is no further than our own backyard in the beautiful Placencia Lagoon. A guided boat ride will take you through lush mangrove, home to incredible local wildlife
